These policies help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone!
Ordering Policy
◦ All orders must be placed at least 2 weeks in advance.
◦ Orders are confirmed only after the deposit is received.
◦ There is a minimum order of one dozen (12) treats per item (example: 12 Oreos, 12 pretzels, etc.).
◦ Availability is limited and dates are secured on a first-come, first-served basis.
Payment Policy
◦ A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order and event date.
◦ The remaining balance is due 2 days prior to pickup or delivery.
◦ Orders not paid in full by the due date may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
◦ All deposits are non-refundable.
◦ Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled event date will require full payment.
◦ Once production has begun, no refunds or credits will be issued.
Changes to Orders
◦ Any changes to your order (quantity, colors, or design details) must be requested at least 7 days
before the event date.
◦ Changes are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
◦ Requests made after this timeframe may result in additional fees or may be declined.
Custom Design Policy
◦ Custom orders are always welcome at Serendip!
◦ Inspiration photos may be provided and are used as a reference only. Exact replicas are not guaranteed.
◦ Due to the handmade nature of our treats, slight variations in color, design, or placement may occur. Minor imperfections are normal and do not qualify for refunds.
Pickup & Delivery/No Show Policy
◦ Serendip offers both pickup and delivery options.
◦ Pickup times will be scheduled when order is placed.
◦ Late pickups may result in forfeiture of the order without refund.
◦ Failure to pick up an order at the scheduled time without communication may result in order cancellation with no refund.
◦ Delivery fees vary by location and are non-refundable once delivery is scheduled.
◦ Once an order leaves our possession, Serendip is not responsible for damage.
Delivery Fee Policy
◦ Local Deliveries fees are as follows:
◦ 0-5 miles: $10
◦ 6-10 miles: $15
◦ 11-15 miles: $25
◦ 16-20 miles: $35
◦ Serendip does not deliver outside of the state of New Jersey.
Weather & Chocolate Disclaimer
◦ Chocolate is sensitive to heat and weather conditions.
◦ Serendip is not responsible for melting, sweating, or damage caused by heat or improper storage.
◦ Proper handling and storage after pickup or delivery are the customer's responsibility.
Allergy & Food Safety Disclaimer
◦ Serendip is a home-based business.
◦ All treats are prepared in a kitchen that may handle nuts, dairy, gluten, and other allergens.
◦ We cannot guarantee allergen-free products.
◦ By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Shelf Life & Storage
◦ Chocolate covered treats are best enjoyed within 24-48 hours.
◦ Chocolate covered strawberries should be consumed the same day or the following day.
◦ Treats should be stored in a cool, dry place.
◦ Refrigeration is not recommended unless specified.
